7th blog

On my Thanksgiving break I took a break from my blogs so I can do my research for my story. I haven't really started much on my story yet but I have enough information to do my story now. I will be spending a lot of time on my story when my school has Christmas break. I have not done much on my project at all but I have enough information to do my story so basically all I need to do is the work. I am thankful that Christmas break is two weeks because then I have more time to work on my story rather than having just a week off. I am excited to work on my story this Christmas break. I am tired of talking about doing my story and not actually doing it. Almost half of the school year is over so I have to start working if I want to succeed and finish this project. My cousins team hasn't been doing so well this season I hope they will have better luck their next game.

6th Blog

In my English class my teacher Mr. Lee told us to present a presentation on our projects so far and I am preparing it this weekend and also and more information to my story. My grandma helped me gather information about my cousin and I also interviewed my cousin with thirteen questions. I am now starting to finally get a hold of my project. I cant wait to share my insight of my cousin and   hope everyone will enjoy it. I know that everyone one has their own views or insights on people.  I decided since Hebron is my cousin that I would create the story on him of how he made it to NFL football and since he's my cousin I can ask him for information when ever I want  so it is easier for me to write the story than if I did not know him. I chose to write a story on my cousin because he is a good role model of hard work and his example is helping me strive to do my best in everything that I do. If I were to think of a phrase every time I think of him that phrase would be " Hard work beats talent when talent is not working hard.

5th blog

Hebron Fangupo is a man I show respect to as a cousin. Although he is my cousin by law I feel as if we are brothers. He and I would work out at the gym sometimes and even play some basketball and man let me tell you that when he drives with the basketball to the hoop he seems to be unstoppable and immovable just like a Rhino running through a herd of sheep. Hebron is a man that lives up to his values and cherishes his family and beliefs as a Mormon at the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. He is a perfect example to me or in other words role model. I truly respect him for his faith in serving for our church on a 2 year mission in the Philippines where he left college football to learn the language and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. To me Hebron is someone that can be truly called a man. I myself will hope to carry some of his traits when I grow up I mean my father is not in my life so I teach my self habits I should attain and I choose who to look up to and I can say that he is one of those for me.

4th blog

On my 20 percent project I am starting to work on it more now and add stuff to my story.I have been thinking about my cousin lately and have been trying to have the same type of grit he has. Something my cousin would always tell me is " Always do your best in everything you do" and when he says this it doesn't matter what you might be doing but as long as you do your best in what it is. Most success people if not all I think share something in common and what that is, is a powerful word which is called motivation and a mental drive or ability and I really think one person can have that by attaining  grit or integrity. My cousin worked hard to make it to where he is now and I am looking forward to sharing my story about him with others. This weekend  I am going to work on my story  and make sure I also prepare my presentation on the project as well. So as you can see I have a lot to do but that is good if I use my time wisely I can get a lot done and I myself am a football player and I am using my cousins example to help build up on my personal goals and techniques. I cant wait to share information on my cousin with you guys. Here is a picture of my cousin.

3rd blog

Lately I have been stormed with home work in all of my classes at school. After my fifth period class I have football practice all the way to 6:30 pm which allows me to get home at 7:00 pm. I wake up in the morning at 5:30 Am every day to go to my church and study the scriptures, It does help me with my beliefs but it doesn't help me with my sleep. I have realized that the most time I have in the week to work anything is on Saturday. I decided that starting this Saturday I am going to spend at least 2 to 4 hours on my 20 percent project.
In class this week Mr.Lee my English teacher is teaching us about successful people and that most of them if not all have grit. I can't just put this project aside because it is a big part of my grade and because I want to be successful in life and I personally believe successful people are made in school. Successful people do not become successful by doing nothing they become successful by doing their very best in everything they do.

2nd blog

On Wednesday I started my 20 percent project. I am focusing on my cousins high school football years for whole month of October. I haven't blogged the beginning of my story yet and have decided not to until I have finished the subject I chose which in this case is his high school football years. I am so anxious to start working on my story again especially since I took too long of a break and haven't worked on it since last Wednesday. I am looking forward to my final results on my story and realized that its not going to come unless I put in the work, time, and effort. I hope that my story will be a great source of information on how success is not just given to you and that its not free and you can achieve it through believing in yourself.

First Blog

This week was interesting and there was a lot of work for me to finally realize how to do the 20 percent project proposal. I just barely finished the proposal correctly last night  finally after all of my corrections and revisions. My classes first assignment on our 20 percent projects was the proposal in which I finished. I thought Mr. Lee was being a little  tough on us for our standards and expectations of the proposal.
Mr. Lee helped me on my proposal with helpful facts and hints. I came to the smart decision Mr. Lee told me which was to  create two blogs one for my actual project and the other for him and others to know of my progress on my project. My project is to write a story about my cousin and how he made it to the NFL. Mr. Lee's discipline on us really helped us if I really begin to think about it and I know that he wants us to go above and beyond success.
